The Arnošt Lustig Award is awarded annually to one of Czech citizens, who, like Arnošt Lustig, exemplary deserved to maintain and develop societal values, such as courage and bravery, humanity and justice. The prize was founded in 2011 by the Czech-Israeli Chamber of Commerce to support the legacy of Arnošt Lustig, a world-class writer.
